About Georgy Kurakin
I am a biologist and bioinformatician with a primary expertise area in the evolution of multicellularity and bacteria-host interaction. Now I perform my own bioinformatic project in evolution of oxylipin signalling in bacteria. I am a Member of the Royal Society of Biology (MRSB) and a Member of International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB).
Beside this, I work at a university as a teaching assistant conducting laboratory and discussion classes in biochemistry. Furthermore, I am a scientific journalist and pop-sci lecturer. I am open to work from media outlets seeking interesting texts in microbiology, evolutionary biology, medicine, general biology, biochemistry and beyond.
In this blog, I keep you posted about the progress of my own research project and feature interesting works of my colleagues which fit into my area of expertise.
