Emu is a novel software designed to establish microbial community profiles with full-length 16S rRNA gene sequences from error-prone nanopore devices.
Using a controlled preterm piglet model, we found rectal fecal microbiota transplantation manifested clinically and microbiologically in a donor-dependent manner. Metagenomic analysis revealed strain-level phylogenetic separation of the engrafted lactobacilli strains according to the donors.
